At it again...man this shit is strong...

So....it's 10:54 pm Pacific Standard Time....it's cold, wet, and rainy outside, and yet in my cosmic and drunken stupor...i.e...–noun 1. suspension or great diminution of sensibility, as in disease or as caused by narcotics, intoxicants, etc...wtf.........uhhhh yeah....too much work.....anyways, here is my last post in regard to my semi-ongoing rant to lesser known 60's musicians who later became big in the 70's.....today we're gonna mention Alice Cooper.....for those of you who don't know, he is from Arizona...that's right, he is a ZONIE....ahhhhhh.....but I forgive him...his dad was a minister...no shit...and he chose a life of rock'n'roll...RAD!!! When most people think of Alice Cooper, they think of songs such as "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "Billion Dollar Babies", "School's Out", etc....but here's one of my favorite more well known Alice Cooper songs from the 70's entitled "Eighteen"...notice the 60's element still in this video combined with the darkness that would become the 70's.

Then listen to the songs by a band known as the Spiders. This was Alice Cooper in his pre 70's form, circa '65 and '66...you can track down these recordings at sundazed.com...again, for you squares out there, they are one of the premiere vinyl reissue companies out there...GO SUPPORT THEM!!! These songs are raw and show the edge of TRUE 60's teen trash punk....there is a correlation between the two...dig it man....

PURE f#%*ing FUZZ madness....

Same old S%#T...New Day....Right???

Well sorry about the lag in this post....as I said, I would be posting information of bands/musicians of the 60's who later went on to become mainstream 70's acts over the course of the next several weeks....well....ummmmmm....Don't judge me...I work way too much....Anyways, here is the next bit for you....We've all seen the movie Dazed and Confused...RIGHT???....of course, that's what I thought.....and we all know that crappy song by Rick Derringer entitled Rock And Roll Hoochie Koo...??? You know what I'm talking about...if your parents grew up in the 70's, then YES they do know of it(thankfully mine are of the 60's generation...Whewwww)...well then remember the scene with Randall 'Pink' Floyd at the Emporium and the music playing....yeah that song....anyways, here it is.....THAT Rick Derringer of "Rock And Roll Hoochie Koo" was a member of the band the McCoys, and they played the stormer entitled - "Hang On Sloopy"....enjoy this....
